IV Therapy
WHAT IS INTRAVENOUS NUTRITIONAL THERAPY?
IV Nutritional Therapy (Intravenous Nutritional Therapy) is the process of administering nutrients into a vein directly into your bloodstream. Nutrients consist of a variety of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids.
IV nutrition is the fastest way available to replenish chronically depleted nutrient reserves. By infusing directly into a vein and bypassing the gastro-intestional system, the nutrients are delivered directly to the cell. This way one can achieve vastly higher concentrations of nutrients without upsetting the stomach.
IV treatments to boost energy, help the body detoxify, promote better sleep, enhance our immune system, decrease inflammation, support the liver, help combat chronic infections like Lyme Disease and cold viruses, and can enhance tissue repair in certain conditions. Occasional blood testing may be required to ensure safety.
HOW LONG DOES AN IV TAKE?
Depending on the IV, infusion rates vary from 30 minutes to 4 hours.
HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING AN IV?
To ensure the proper safety of each patient, individuals interested and/or seeking IV therapy must first meet with a doctor by scheduling a new patient visit. Following the initial appointment, a patient may then be schedule an IV appointment if deemed appropriate. This is to make the doctor aware of any health concerns or underlying conditions, so that appropriate doses and drip rates are used.
